God created the local church as a primary way to connect people to Him and young adults hold a
pivotal place in this spiritual mission. The Plug exists to foster a community where they can be restored,
reset, and get reconnected.
Within our purpose, is the desire to recognize and respond to the challenges that create barriers for
young adults. In The Plug, our goal is for young adults to:
Restore: Colossians 3:12-14, Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate
hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint
against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. And above
all this put-on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.
Reset: 2nd Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has
gone, the new is here!
Reconnect: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their
labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to
help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly
