DR. JAMES ANTHONY JACKSON
Dr. James Anthony Jackson, Sr. is a native of Mobile, Alabama. He is the second of four children born to Dr. Michael and First Lady Barbara Jackson. He accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized at the age of seven at Aimwell Missionary Baptist Church where his father Dr. Michael Jackson is the Senior Pastor.
He attended Bishop State Junior College for two years prior to transferring to the historic Tuskegee University. He received his calling to the ministry at the age 20 while at Tuskegee. In 1997 he graduated from the institution, acquiring his Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education. Dr. Jackson went on to enroll in Samuel Dewitt Proctor School of Theology of Virginia Union University in Richmond, VA., where he received his Master of Divinity degree in 2000. In December 2007 he received his Doctoral Degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, OH.
Dr. Jackson is the founder and Senior Pastor of New Beginnings Fellowship Church in Indianapolis, IN. They opened their doors to the Indianapolis community on March 7, 2004. Since conception, the Lord has allowed the church to experience phenomenal growth. The membership has grown from 300 to over 7000. To accommodate the tremendous membership growth, New Beginnings Fellowship Church paid cash on 10 acres of land and erected a $5.6 million dollar worship facility in 2007. New Beginnings made their final payment on the mortgage in August 2012 which made them debt free! In May 2016, they broke ground on the Kingdom Center, which is a facility designed to minister to the needs of babies, children and youth. 2017, the doors of the Kingdom Center opened! Growth hasn't stopped there. In June of 2018, land was acquired on the west side of Indianapolis to begin construction on our West campus location. The church currently has four worship services in two locations and Dr. Jackson’s television broadcast can be seen weekly in Indianapolis, IN.
Dr. Jackson is uniquely gifted and an anointed vessel of God. He is a sought after preacher and teacher. He has been privileged to preach in the United States and abroad. He is the chaplain for the Indiana Pacers and has conducted chaplain services for the Indianapolis Colts and other NFL teams.
Out of all his accomplishments, Dr. Jackson remains humble to the fact that God graciously decided to use him as a humble servant. He is a devoted husband to First Lady Tara Jackson. They have two sons, James Anthony, II and Jonathan Eugene. Dr. Jackson enjoys reading, singing, watching sports and working out.
LADY TARA JACKSON
Lady Tara Jackson is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia. She is the elder of two daughters born to Harry and Geraline Cox. Lady Tara earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Norfolk State University and in May of 2010, she earned a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from IUPUI. She has a passion for working with young children and has served as an educator for over 15 years. As a teacher and administrator, she touched the lives of many students and their families from Maryland, to Virginia and to Indianapolis.
Lady Tara has a tremendous passion for God’s Word, coupled with a love for God’s people. She is the First Lady of New Beginnings Fellowship Church where she stands beside her husband, faithfully serving God and ministering to the growing flock of the church.
Lady Tara has a heart for women. God is using her to encourage, equip and empower women to reach their utmost potential in Christ Jesus. It is her desire that God’s children humbly seek Him to understand their purpose in life and operate in confidence knowing that what God has destined for them is just for them! Lady Tara has hosted numerous conferences and taught classes at the church and within the Indianapolis community.
Lady Tara’s joy and balance is her family. Along with her husband, Dr. James Anthony Jackson, they are the proud parents of two sons, James II and Jonathan. As a dynamic ministry family, she and her husband are dedicated servants of God and stand as a testament to what God can do in the lives of true believers.
